John Bell | Vice President, Head of Global Equity Trading

John Bell joined Guzman & Company in 2002 as an Institutional Equity Trader. His primary functions include global block and portfolio trade execution (including large blocks of illiquid equities, portfolio/index rebalances and portfolio transitions), as well as equity/index futures & options execution.

Mr. Bell has been instrumental in building out Guzman & Company’s trade execution platform – one of the most robust agency platforms on the street and recognized annually by Institutional Investor Magazine among the top brokers on the Street for execution quality.

Prior to joining Guzman & Company, Mr. Bell worked on Wall Street as an equity options trader with Tepayac LLC, a member-firm of the American Stock Exchange. Prior to that, he spent two years as an analyst for ChaseMellon Consulting in New York.

Mr. Bell received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fordham University. He attained his Certified Financial Manager designation from the College of Financial Planning. Additionally, Mr. Bell completed graduate level course work in advanced option trading strategies at the New York Institute of Finance.

He was a 2004 nominee for Institutional Investor’s Outstanding Execution and Sales Trading award.

Mr. Bell holds the following FINRA series 3, 4, 7, 24, 55, and 66 licenses.
